Variation in operation times will occur depending on SIM card, network settings and usage. Talk time is increased by up to 30% if half rate is active and reduced by 5% if enhanced full rate is active.

There is a printing error in the initial batch of the Nokia 3230 user guide on the phone's standby time and talktime. The correct talktime for the phone is 'Up to 2-4 hours' and the standby time should be 'Up to 100-150 hours'.
